Mould Prevention

Enviro Group Services addresses mould-related problems by preventing dampness and finding the source of the moisture. A team of specialists is deployed to identify why mould is appearing and deliver effective mould removal solutions to help prevent ongoing issues.

Prevention methods will usually include more effective ventilation and dehumidifiers that maintain healthy humidity levels.

We also focus on professional testing to ensure that moisture is not entering or remaining in areas where it can sustain spore growth.

Enviro Group Services provides biological sampling and air quality testing, with the aim to identify actual mould growth and its source, and determine the boundary (spread) of fungal particulate (deposition) throughout the building. Find out more about the air quality testing process.

How We Prevent Mould

Better Ventilation

In order to ventilate more effectively, installing sub floor fans will enable you to extract moisture and damp/stale air from the sub floor area and replace it with fresh air drawn from the outside by one or more sub floor fans. Moisture in a building serves as a breeding ground for termites, moulds and other pests. This is why you'll find many of these issues in insufficiently ventilated buildings.

Inspecting HVAC systems

HVAC systems should be inspected for excessive moisture, visible dust and fungal growth.

Remediating HVAC systems

HVAC systems should be inspected by a reputable, certified HVAC professional. Your heating and cooling system are the lungs of your home. Through normal occupation in a home, we generate a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and chemicals. These contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated about 5 to 7 times per day. Over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of contaminants in the duct work.

While dirty ducts don’t necessarily mean unhealthy air in your home, school or workplace, they may be contributing to larger health issues or harboring contaminants that could cause serious problems for people with asthma and allergies, autoimmune disorders or environmental sensitivities.
