Mould Remediation

We provide mould remediation services for commercial and residential buildings in the Sydney area, successfully returning the structures to their pre-damaged condition. We achieve this by:

  1. Identifying and addressing the source(s) of moisture or water entry
  2. Physically removing visible mould and settled spores and clean surfaces
  3. Discarding or cleaning moisture laden building materials to a normal fungal ecology
  4. Identifying key personnel to implement moisture control and prevent future moisture problems (drainage expert/hydrologist, plumber, HVAC technician, waterproofing expert…)
  5. Identifying key personnel to remediate materials and furnishings (IICRC certified technician)

The Mould Remediation Process

1. Identify and repair the source of moisture

This will help prevent new mould spores from growing

2. Isolate the contaminated area

Separate contaminated area and other rooms of the home, cover all doorways and any other openings with 200 um polyethylene sheeting

3. Remove mould affected materials

Remove all wet and mould-damaged porous materials
Place materials in plastic bags
Dispose all waste to licence facility

4. Clean

Install unique equipment for the duration of the remediation process
Using a special technique, damp wipe surfaces with a water and detergent solution
All non-porous materials and wood surfaces that are mouldy must be cleaned using a Class H HEPA Vacuum cleaner in combination with wire brushing on all mouldy surfaces
Wipe the surfaces
